On their way...

Rydia and the three young Waltzes have left the Black Mage Village and are looking for Kuja and his younger alternate. Rydia is really the only one who had much in the way of decent traveling gear from earlier adventures - she's dressed in the green and grey of a High Summoner of Mist, a sharp knife and a whip hanging from her belt and a backpack for carrying more supplies.

The Waltzes had had a slight bit of trouble there - they couldn't carry packs, nor would any of Vivi's old armor fit them, not with their wings in the way. The best they could do was make sure their clothes and boots were in good shape, and to wear belts with small waist pouches, waterskins and a scabbard for a knife. The Mages had given them a little money to help out, but for the most part they'd just have to see what they could find on their adventures.

As a safety precaution, Rydia makes sure they all have PINPoints in their pouches from a bowl of them near a Nexus Couch. That way, if they ran out of food or were stranded somewhere, they could always escape to the Nexus. And if that wasn't an option, she could try to summon the Mist Dragon to take them to the Land of Summons in her world. After all, they had no idea what they'd find if they just went through a random portal.
