Could you forgive someone for helping to kill billions of people, if it was kind of not on purpose?
... let me try again. The person made some bioweapons and used threat of genocide to blackmail some people into doing stuff they should have been doing anyway. Releasing them was more a threat than something they were going to do, though they might have anyway as a last resort if nothing else worked.
And then someone else hacked in and released the stuff. And somewhere between half to three-fourths of the planet's population died over the past week.
Could you forgive something like that? Should you? Note that's not the same question twice...
