Dr. Bannister was in her office when Aurora, one of the CPS volunteers, hurried down the hall and stuck her head in the door.

"Dr. Bannister? Someone's spotted one of the Wily kids in the Nexus... I think you'd better hurry, it doesn't look good."

Dr. Bannister rushed out, calling Dal on the way, and leaving Aurora to stay nearby in case Iceman needed anything.

Moments later they were back, and the sounds of commotion were obvious.

Dal Nimbus quickly accesed the computer system to call the sane Dr Wily while Aurora helped Dr. Bannister find a place to put Quint down. Then Dr. Bannister rushed to her office to retrieve the file on Quint in case there was anything there that might help.

(There's also a secretary and a couple people watching the phone lines, but I haven't named them yet. and they're just lucky this happened on one of the days 'Rora was there...)

"Dr. Wily speaking. How may I help you?"

"Dal Nimbus here from Nexus CPS," the android replied, flicking the keys to switch to videoconference. He sounded a bit on edge. The commotion in the background could easily be heard.

Dr. Bannister rushed back with the file. "I have his file..."

"Another one of the kids turned up in the Nexus, Dr. Wily," Dal continued, "but... he's kinda in bad shape..."

Wily nodded. "Is it safe to teleport him?"

"It should be... he's been deactivated, and I don see how anythin could make the kid's systems much worse..."

Dr. Bannister looked worriedly to Aurora. "'Rora... do you think your runecasting can gate to where Dr. Wily is?"

"I don't know," the teen replied. "It should, as long as he's not in a place that doesn't allow elemental magicks...." She pulled a red oil pen from a pouch on her belt and started to draw on the floor. "I'll still need coordinates, or some sort of identifying data... we don't want to detour thru Dad's old games shop..."

"Have you the wing his blueprints? I can probably repair him."

"I have a file of what we could find in Zero's time," Dr. Bannister said, but I don't think we found blueprints for any of them... "I'll bring it... but I don't know if it will help." She moved to carefully pick up Quint. That she could lift him at all said more about the extremity of disassembly than her strength, even though he was a later design than Iceman and likely used lighter alloys.

Aurora, meanwhile, had drawn a shape on the floor in the rusty-red 'ink' her pen produced... it looked like a large, squared off, inverted U, the two uneven ends pointing towards them...

Dal Nimbus quickly told Aurora coordinates, which the girl translated into an odd script resembling Ogham, and drew outward from the upper edge of the Uruz rune.

Then he looked to Dr. Bannister. "Sure you're goin, Judy? One of us has to stay here in case Iceman needs someone, an he's more used to you."

Wily nodded. "I'll do my best for him. Please send him over at your earliest convenience."

"Iceman doesn't trust either of us yet, Dal... and you're the best choice to stay here if there might be another emergency," Dr. Bannister said as she stepped into the outline of the rune.

Aurora stepped in as well, and when Dr. Bannister glanced at her curiously she simply said. "If I don't go, how will you get back?" She gave one more glance at the runework and said the name of the rune... "Uruz."

The drawing seemed to glow for a brief second, and Dr. Bannister, Quint, and Aurora vanished... as did the markings on the floor... replaced by a thin film of frost that evaportated as quickly into mist as if someone had been playing with liquid nitrogen...
